Explorations in felt
Thursdays, January 24, 31 & FEBRUARY 7, 14, 21, 28 • 1:30pm-4PM
Instructor: Liz Canali

Focus on wet felting techniques. Explore different ways to use/create with fiber. Learn to make wall hangings, vessels, felted rock rugs, scarves, bags, lights and more while exploring different techniques and materials. Let you imagination run wild in this 6 week class. Beginners learn new techniques, experienced felters can try new ways to approach old methods. The first 3 lessons will focus on materials and techniques, creating small projects. The last 3 weeks will focus on individual projects with guidance and suggestions from the instructor.

Members pay $150, Non-members pay $180.
$15 Materials cost for the first three days. Estimated cost of additional materials ($10-$50) will vary according to the size of the individual projects.

Portraits in Colored Pencil Workshop
Fridays, February 22, & March 1, 8, 15, 22 • 10am-12:30PM
Instructor: Liz MONACO

Students will learn how to use colored pencil applications to create the characteristics of facial features, skin colors, and hair. Teacher will supply a reference photo. (Students who are repeating this class and would like to use their own reference would be fine, but the photo must be at least 8x10 and a full face view.)

Members pay $120, Non-members pay $130. Class size 6-12 people.

DRAWING 101
Fridays, MARCH 29, APRIL 5, 12, 26, May 2 & 10• 10am-12:30PM

Whether you are an absolute beginner or would like to get back to the basics of drawing, this workshop will give you the skills to create realistic artwork.

Members pay $120, Non-members pay $130. Class size 6-12 people.

Basic Photography Workshop
Saturday, MARCH 16 • 10am-1:00PM
Instructor: Lisette Otero-Lewis

Learn how to use your camera, beginning with a comprehensive review of your camera’s manual mode, by the end of this lesson you’ll have mastered techniques for adjusting both depth of field and shutter speed and ISO to achieve creative control. the class will do an outdoor photoshoot and then return for basic critique.

Experimenting with Alcohol Inks Workshop
Saturday, MARCH 16 • 10am-4:00PM
Instructor: Joan Mangano & Diane Shea

Supply list:
Purchase small alcohol ink bottles of desired colors (Hobby Lobby or online)
• Bring all the supplies you have for Alcohol Ink Art
• Stamper with felt
• 99% or 91% alcohol (local pharmacy or online)
• Blending solution, or called EXTENDER
• Yupo paper order online (we will cut to desired size)
• Small Brushes (NOT YOUR GOOD ONES)
• OLD large towel to work on
• Paper towels
• Droppers

Bring a lunch or go out!

SUPPLIED FOR YOU:
Masks, rubber gloves, straws, Tiles 3 different sizes…as many as you wish. Bottles for you to use for your alcohol, straws, some inks to supplement your (eg. Gold). Coffee, juice and a treat.
