Felted Vessels Workshop
Thursday, December 13, 2018, 10am-4PM
Instructor: Liz Canali

All felting materials are included for 2 small vessels. Materials available for sale for larger pieces. Please bring 3 large towels and 3 hand towels PLUS beads, wood, and any embellishments you might want to use on your vessels. BEGINNER FRIENDLY.

Using a circular template, students will work with the seamless flat resist method. Experiment with shape and color while making a small vessel in the morning session. In the afternoon, experiment with surface design, handles and more while creating a second vessel. We’ll also talk about surface embellishment using the resist method for bags, pillows and lights.

Members pay $55, Non-members pay $60. Class size 6-12 people.

Explorations in felt
Thursdays, January 24, 31 & FEBRUARY 7, 14, 21, 28 2019, 1:30pm-4PM

Focus on wet felting techniques. Explore different ways to use/create with fiber. Learn to make wall hangings, vessels, felted rock rugs, scarves, bags, lights and more while exploring different techniques and materials. Let you imagination run wild in this 6 week class. Beginners learn new techniques, experienced felters can try new ways to approach old methods. The first 3 lessons will focus on materials and techniques, creating small projects. The last 3 weeks will focus on individual projects with guidance and suggestions from the instructor.

Members pay $150, Non-members pay $180.
$15 Materials cost for the first three days. Estimated cost of additional materials ($10-$50) will vary according to the size of the individual projects.

Portraits in Colored Pencil Workshop
Fridays, February 22, & March 1, 8, 15, 22 2019, 10am-12:30PM
Instructor: Liz MONACO

Students will learn how to use colored pencil applications to create the characteristics of facial features, skin colors, and hair. Teacher will supply a reference photo. (Students who are repeating this class and would like to use their own reference would be fine, but the photo must be at least 8x10 and a full face view.)

Members pay $120, Non-members pay $130. Class size 6-12 people.
